Get together with fellow San Diego geeks to hang out and watch things burn. It’s just a casual get-together for talk and fellowship, with drinks and chips.
Who should come:
Anybody into Web 2.0, the technology industry, IT, Twitter, blogging, Facebook, MySpace, social networks, science fiction, fantasy, RPGs, MMOs, comics, manga, anime, Comic-Con, Dr. Who, Star Trek, or anybody who likes spending time with people who are into those things.
The event is sponsored by InformationWeek and Lifehacker, and hosted by InformationWeek Executive Editor Mitch Wagner, and Lifehacker Editor Gina Trapani.
The bonfire area is on the south side of the park. Head north on East Mission Bay Drive past the Hilton, make the first left turn you can, follow the driveways south between parking lots (that’ll be your left), until you’re at the far southerly parking lot. Park there. You’ll see a building with an orange roof, it’s public restrooms, the bonfire area is beyond that, just slightly downhill.
