Dayak.com Gets $1.15 Million In Seed Funding

Dayak.com, a San Diego based online recruiting marketplace scored $1.15 million in seed capital today. The funding round was lead by the local Tech Coast Angels (TCA) group with efforts headed up by Dan Caufield. First Round Capital of San Francisco also participated in the funding round.
I know Dan personally, he’s a workhorse with several successful startups under his belt. I’ve also had a chance to preview the Dayak system and strategy. They have some serious potential, but are lacking direction and a clear vision for the future of their product and how it fits into the modern web. Hopefully they will put this funding to good work and get a grip on their strategy and execution. Nevertheless, it’s great to see San Diego startups attracting financing from bay area firms.
